Monthly Meeting Minutes

Minutes of The October RTR

Business Meeting

October 18, 2007, Stony Point School

The meeting was called to order at 7:07 PM by President Jim Coleman.

First on the agenda was that matter of a dues adjustment to reflect the lost car show revenues and the cost of mailing Spokes.  Gary Kinney moved “that dues be adjusted, effective January 1.2008, to $30 per year with a $10 discount given for those members opting to receive Spokes electronically and not by mail”. Gary’s motion was discussed and passed unanimously.

The second agenda item dealt with the club’s postal box, and it was resolved that the box be eliminated unless Dean, who was unable to attend due to the Six Pack Meeting in Georgia, strenuously objected upon his return. (Note: RTR’s P.O. Box address has subsequently been retired.)

Third on the agenda was the website, and the concurrent announcement that Charles Reid was taking over. Thanks were again extended to the "two Jims" for all their hard work. Discussion ensued and it was agreed that for now the old web site would be put back into play.

Fourth, Jim Coleman reported on a visit to Ken Sanders occasioned by Ken’s loss of his wife and his return to his native land down-under. Ken is a friend of the club and gifted his prized complete set of the Spokes. Ken will be missed and will be staying tuned via the miracle of the internet.

Fifth, Jim Scherer’s detail financial report was distributed in his absence.

Sixth, Pete Philips gave a brief (and spine tingling) overview on the subject of “Advance Curves”.

The meeting was enthusiastically adjourned.

Respectfully submitted

Pete Philips
